WDC welcomes you to our website and we hope you will consider joining us. Our club goal is to further the advancement of all purebred dogs. WDC wants to advance the interest of all purebred dogs through education and to encourage sportsmanlike competition at dog shows, obedience trials and other dog events. WDC is a member in good standing of the American Kennel Club (AKC) and operates under the rules and regulations of the AKC. We hope you share our goal!
If you are interested in joining our club, we offer four types of membership. Our membership is open to persons who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club and who subscribe to the purposes of the club.
Single membership: Open to persons 18 years of age and older who enjoy all the privileges of the club including the right to vote and hold office.
Family membership: Open to two persons 18 years of age and older residing in the same household. They enjoy all the privileges of the club. Each is entitled to a vote.
Junior membership: Open to persons 10-17 years of age. Junior members cannot vote or hold office. Junior members may automatically convert to single membership upon reaching their 18th birthday.
Life: An Honorary membership with full privileges given to a member who has a minimum of 25 years of active service and with Board Approval
Dues are set by the Board. They are:
Single $25
Family $35
Junior $ 5 less than Regular membership
Life do not pay dues
Dues are payable on or before the first day of September each year.
While membership is to be unrestricted as to residence, the Club’s primary purpose is to be representative of the purebred enthusiast and exhibitors in its immediate area.
